We Will Never Forget

Posted by: Steve Febbraro   in Thoughts

Tonight, I wrote a memorial for someone I never met. All the information I had was gathered from the Internet. There wasn’t a ton of information available, but for a project like this what was there was enough.

9/11/2001 was a tragic day in American history. On that day 2,996 people lost their lives as a result of four airplanes overtaken by terrorists. Two of the planes crashed into the Twin Towers in New York City, and caused the demise of both the towers. Both towers were destroyed as were the lives of the people working in them.

The other two planes had different targets. One made it’s mission, the other did not. Flight 93 was diverted from its target, the Whitehouse, by brave passengers and crew. Flight 93 landed in a field in western Pennsylvania. There were no survivors.

The fourth plane made it to the Pentagon doing extensive damage and killed more innocent people.

Since that tragic day, America’s slogan has been, “We will never forget. “. Not forgetting is twofold. We will never forget the people who lost their lives, and we will never forget whose hands are stained with the blood of the innocent.

Islamist terrorists are responsible for the carnage and destruction of that day. They say they did it in the name of their god, Allah.

Islam, the religion of peace killed 2,996 Americans. And, now many years later our president, Barack Obama has the audacity to host a dinner party for these followers of Allah at the Whitehouse. This act desecrates the lives and memories of each person who died on 9/11.

Apparently, president Obama has forgotten what happened on 9/11. We, the American people, have not.

Obama would like to erase history and have 9/11 become a national day of service, like some feel good Boy Scout jamboree. Obama would like to erase from our memory the people responsible for the destruction and death they caused that day. We say, “No, Mr. President, we will not forget.”

One can only imagine Obama’s desire to obscure the memory of 9/11. Whatever the reason, it has nothing to do with honor, but rather dishonor.

President Obama dishonors the lives lost. He dishonors the countless hours thousands of volunteers struggled through debris, tears and sweat to rescue and recover as many people as they could.

Obama dishonors the grieving hearts of friends and families, of futures never to be, and children who who still cry for mommy and daddy.

No, Mr. President. 9/11 shall not be a day of service. We will never forget, and you sir had better remember.

2,996 innocent people died. It is their lives we honor. It is their deaths we mourn. It is their memories we carry in our hearts.

No, Mr. President. No. We will never forget.

The Czars Must Be Removed

Posted by: Steve Febbraro   in Thoughts

The Czars have to to be removed from their positions. We don’t know their salaries. We don’t know their other compensations. We don’t know what kind of vacation time they have. We don’t know the limit of their power. We don’t know how they can bypass congress when making policy that will effect the entire country. We don’t now why Obama needs all the help.

Wasn’t he supposed to be the One, The Messiah, the One from whom all answers would flow.

Instead all we see flowing from his expertise are one failed program after another failed program. Obama wants to break everything that’s working in American with some hair-brained text book ideology that history has proven will fail every time it’s tried. Yet, he continues burying this nation deeper and deeper in debt.

Get rid of the Czars. Stop giving Obama’s failed plans a hangar upon which to hang his loser’s hat. Let him stand and fall on his own merits.

Problem with that is, Obama is so far out of his league he has no idea what to do on his own. He head is full of ideas from others, while having nothing original between his ears.

When Obama is giving his cold, calculated teleprompter driven speech tonight.spewing I pray some one calls him a lair, or boos him, or shows dissent to the lies that are sure to be spewing out of his mouth,

Perhaps no applause. Our congressman must let Obama know, he is finished. His school boy charm is not enough to lead the greatest country in the world. A community leader has no business being in the white house other than organizing the cleaning staff to keep the place spic and span.

Obama was never ready to be president, but the electorate was ready to elect a young super star. Sucker Punch!!!!

Obama was the least vetted presidential candidate ever, and we still know nothing about him. Yet, people will defend a man whom they know nothing about. Amazing.

Remove the Czars. Let the Emperor dance around the WH fully naked, unprotected by the czars robes. Let the public see Obama for who he really is. a spoiled child, who by hook and crook has conned enough people to have thrown him into his present job. A job, he is woefully under qualified.

Children, Cough This Way

Posted by: Steve Febbraro   in Thoughts

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius shows us the proper way to cough.

I am so thankful to the Secretary of Health for taking time out of her busy day to instruct the moronic public, which must include you and I, in the proper way to cough.
My undying gratitude goes to Secretary Sebelius for her extraordinary public service.

Cass Sustein Must Resign…

Posted by: Steve Febbraro   in Thoughts

Under which rocks does Obama find his Czars?

Today, let’s take a brief look at Obama’s pick for the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs Czar.

Sunstein is concerned by the present “situation in which like-minded people speak or listen mostly to one another,” and thinks that in “light of astonishing economic and technological changes, we must doubt whether, as interpreted, the constitutional guarantee of free speech is adequately serving democratic goals.”

So, like minded people are not supposed to talk with one another. Hmm…could lead to some interesting things, like, oh, I dunno, let’s say, church!

Isn’t a particular church full of like minded people talking and listening to one another. Or, how about Boy Scouts. Aren’t they like minded people, who even meet in large groups to discuss things that interest them. According to Sunstein, this is not good.

If that one thought of his isn’t enough for conservative leaders in Washington to demand his resignation, i don’t know what is.

But, wait my friends, it gets better.

2. Sunstein has also written often in favor of animal rights.  Yep, your pooch can hire a lawyer, and if your pup doesn’t like the treats you’ve been giving him, why, he has the right to sue you. Sounds perfectly reasonable to me, if I was a left wing whacko, like Sunstein.

And, there’s more.

3. Sunstein has argued that “we should celebrate tax day.”

That’s an argument he’s sure to lose while debating the joys of paying income tax while eating with a family of four, where hubby is unemployed due to Obama’s stimulus plan being a creater clunker the than Cash for Clunkers.

Sunstein, fits the Obama mold. He is against personal freedom, and free speech. Animals are equal to humans, which has terrible ramifications. If we can put dogs to sleep, why not humans, etc.

He must join Van Jones in the unemployment line.

Farmland

Posted by: Steve Febbraro   in Thoughts

Today my friend and I took a on our motorcycles. We had no destination in
mind, no time schedule, and not a care in the world. Two friends on two bikes with one goal in
mind, to enjoy the day.

I led our expedition to nowhere. Country road after country road. Right here, left there, no ryhme nor reason to the turns. If if felt right we turned.

We rode through rural Berks county. Farmland, fields of corn, pastures with cows contently chewing grass. It was a beautiful day.

As I was riding I couldn’t help but think about the hard working farmers out from dawn to dusk working the land they love. The land, the soil of America.

As I rode by these farms I realized these farms represent my America. The soil, the land worked hard, produces the food that feeds a nation. This is America, where hard work produces results. This is the America where hardships are endured and worked through.

There is nothing easy about farming, there is nothing easy about keeping America free. Yet, day by day ordinary people are doing just that.

It’s not the politicians in Washington, it’s not lobbyists for special interest groups, it’s people, you and me producing goods and products contributing to America’s well being.

Obama knows nothing of this America. He knows nothing of the gnarled hands hauling bales of hay from field to market. He knows nothing of frigid early mornings where the ground cracks beneath your feet.

Obama’s America is one of ideas and lofty schemes that have nothing to do with everyday life, or everyday citizens. His America
is vapor, not rooted in soil, but ideologies of foreign lands.

Obama has awakened us out of our comeplacent sleep. We were awakened by his continued attempts to change the soil of America into the barren earth of socialism. We are fighting back.

We are not powerful people, but we are many and we fiercly defend our land and our country.

Today’s ride made me realize how great this country is, and how it got to be the greatest country on earth. Hard work, religious freedom, the right to defend property and families, just to name a few.

Together we can ensure our America remains our America.

Support one another. Pray for each other. And, never forget the reason we fight. America. America. America.

The Obama School Invasion Program

Posted by: Steve Febbraro   in Thoughts

It’s been an exciting day. I’ve seen the people of the Twitterverse respond to an egregious move by Obama, with intelligence, conviction, and the willingness to do more than talk. Today, people took action, sent emails, made phone calls, and we got results, proving grassroots movements are alive and well in America.

I’ve been up in arms about Obama having the audacity to talk to my children during their school time. I posted my feelings in another article, so won’t take up space doing it again, although some points may slip through the cracks.

What I’ve done can be easily duplicated by anyone reading this. The total time I spent was around twenty minutes. I’ll give a step by step run down.

1. Looked up my school administration contacts using Google.
2. Once I had all the contacts I emailed everyone in the contact section, and called those I felt appropriate. More often than not I got a voicemail, but left my message, which was basically a reiteration of my letter.

My children go to two different schools, but one school district. My soon is an entering freshman, and my daughter goes to a Charter school, she has entered 8th grade.

I contacted all the appropriate people in my daughter’s school by both phone and email.

So, what happened?

When I contacted my daughter’s school, I spoke to the assistant administrator. She had no clue as to what I was referring to. I was put on hold, and she informed me, that no one at the school had received an email from the Department of Education, nor any course material, etc. She asked me if I was sure of the information, to which I replied, “Yes.”

I then, told her, my daughter was not permitted to view Obama, if and when the school received any material and if they choose to allow the students to watch Obama. She assured me my wishes would be respected, and I have no reason to doubt her.

I did get a call back from the superintendent of the school district. He told me he did get an email, but that was it. No instructions, times or dates. I informed him of the date 9/8/09, and his reply was, “That’s the first day of school. We’re too busy to have the kids watch TV. We won’t be airing President Obama’s broadcast. Obama may think we have the time, but we use the first day of school to jump start our students.”

Later in the day, he emailed me, and reported that no student would be forced to watch Obama against their parents wishes. I told him I would be sending a letter to school with my son, stating my case, and he was most cooperative.

Couple of thoughts:
1. I don’t think the Whitehouse is as organized as they would have everyone believe. The Allentown School District is a decent size school district, and they were in the dark as to the 9/8 invasion.
2. My daughter’s school was not contacted at all. Perhaps a Charter school doesn’t fit into the “Public” school category.
3. From my own conversations and from other conversations on Twitter, this invasion appears to have the same success as the Cash for Clunkers program.

The only ones excited about this program are the elites in Washington, and of course Obama.

Now, speaking of Obama. Isn’t it interesting, that Obama wants to talk to our children about the value of education, blah, blah, blah, but will not release his own college records. You’d think he’d be proud of his academic accomplishments, yet he hides them from the public. A bit strange.

Obama’s actually believes the world will stop when he wants to talk, when in reality the world is too busy to listen to a pompous, egotistical, narcissistic, self-adoring, boob who only thinks of himself.

I’ve written many times before, that Obama’s arrogance will be his downfall. This latest boneheaded move of his to invade the public school system has raised the ire of parents across this country. He angered yet another segment of hometown America. His arrogance is to our advantage.

School boards across the country are hearing from people like you and me. We’re telling them Obama has no right to enter our schools and talk to our children without our permission. Keep fighting. Write everyone you can. We are winning.

When Obama goes on air on 9/8 he will be talking to no one but himself.

My Letter To School

Posted by: Steve Febbraro   in Thoughts

To Whom it May Concern:

When it comes to teaching my child about personal responsibility and life goals, I have determined that I am a far better teacher of those objectives than a President who has chosen to surround himself with known anarchists, communists, and terrorists.

Therefore, (child’s name) will be removed from school on September 8, 2009, during the time period in which Obama will be invading (his/her) school and trampling on my child’s privacy. (Child’s name) is being removed in order in ensure she is not corrupted by the propaganda that will be shown in her class room.

In addition, Obama has not asked my permission to speak to my child who is a minor, and I have not seen any of the curriculum which is expected to be handed out and discussed during this time. Further, you have not asked my permission for my (daughter/son) to view Obama’s speech, nor asked my permission to had out curriculum, which is not part of (school name) normal curriculum.

You are violating my child’s right to privacy. Please advise when Obama will be invading (school name) so that I may pick my (child’s name) up before the socialist indoctrination of our children begins.

I will return (childs name) to school when Obama’s invasion of our public schools has concluded.

Respectfully Yours,
Steve Febbraro

Obama’s Arrogance

Posted by: Steve Febbraro   in Thoughts

Who does Obama think he is? In his mind, is he the great educator? Does he think he’s qualified to tell my children what they should be doing in school? Last time I looked, that was my responsibility as a parent to educate my children as to the value of education, personal responsibility and proper behavior.

Apparently, Obama believes he can do a better job of raising my children than I can.

So, he’s come up with this brilliant plan to plaster his face on every television in every school in the country, and he’s going to talk to kids from k to high school. Who the hell does he think he is? What unmitigated gaul!

If Obama wants to talk to my children, then let him call me up, and ask my permission. We’re not talking about adults, we’re talking about minors, kindergarten kids for Lords’ sake. Obama wants to begin his indoctrination at a very early age, but he’s not going to be talking to my kids.

I’m calling for all parents to have a National Skip School Day. Let your administrators, principals, teachers know, that you do not welcome Obama’s invasion of your child’s privacy. Tell them that Obama does not have your permission to talk to your kids, and if they allow the president to enter the school, your child will not be there.

The next thing we’ll see in schools is Obama’s poster plastered in every cafeteria, gym, and study hall. Chairman Obama’s smug, arrogant, face will be looking down upon your children each minute they’re in school NO!

Obama has overstepped his bounds. His arrogance knows no end, but this it too much.

Let him ruin the country’s economy, put our soldiers in harms way, ration healthcare to those people who need it the most. We’re adults, we can take all his power grabs, and the negative impact his administration has had on this country. But, leave our kids alone.

Obama is a bordering on child predator status.

My wife and I know how to raise our children. We know how important an education is. We do not need Obama to do our job as parents.

Mr. Obama, stay away from our children. Do the job you were elected to do, uphold and protect the constitution of these United States. A job, which you have failed miserably.

Don’t let Obama get away with this. Call your school administrators, your school board, principals, send notes to your teachers, and tell them, “Obama does not have permission to speak to my child. If you do not respect my wishers I have not choice but to remove my child from school on September 8th.”

Folks, we got to stop him. Our elected officials in Washington must stand up to this unprecedented power grab. Don’t let tomorrow end without action on your part to keep Obama out of our schools.

Bloomberg’s Disastorous Plan

Posted by: Steve Febbraro   in Thoughts

This morning, the moron who is mayor of New York City, Michael Bloomberg, announced his idiotic plan to keep the H1N1 predicated outbreak under control.

Part of Mikey’s plane is to isolate H1N1 patients to the ERs of hospitals. He also is asking people not to use the ER as often so overcrowding can be avoided.

Couple things:
1. ERs are not huge places.
2. They are not set up for long term patient stays.
3. What about the people that need emergency care? Are they to go the their local animal hospital instead.
4. And, Mikey, what about infection spreading far more in the ER than in any other place in the hospital. Open wounds, bruises, abrasions, mixing with sneezing, airborne virus, etc.

Bloomberg will be creating a greater hazard than the H1N1 could ever place upon NYC.

Way to to Mikey!

I’ve Got This Blog

Posted by: Steve Febbraro   in Thoughts

So, I’ve got this blog. It’s my place to write whatever I want. It’s a political, satirical blog where sacred cows do not exist. A visitor to my blog has every right to expect some witty, sharp, acerbic, article on the current events of the day. But, I don’t always feel like writing something political.

I’m not a writer. Never went to school for writing, never dreamed of being a writer, but do enjoy writing. My thoughts are scattered like wispy clouds on a windy day. Most times I can stay on track, while at other times, my thoughts get derailed like an out of control locomotive.

Logic is not my strong suit, and I tend to write from the heart, rather than the brain. I’m not a deep thinker. I’m more of a surface thinker. Not that I never delve into the deep realm of thoughts, but more often than not I’m in shallow intellectual water. Snorkeling, rather than scuba diving.

There is a wealth of material to draw from the political realm. Anyone with a smattering of intelligence should be able to put together a paragraph of interesting facts and opinions about the day’s events. Writing a blog is not rocket science. Consistency is the key. Have something new everyday, the blog gurus tell you. Always have new material. Readers will come back to see what you’re up to, as long as they can read something new on each visit. With that advice in mind, I sit here and type four paragraphs (thus far) of fairly uninteresting drivel.

When does the good stuff come? I’d like to know the answer myself. This evening, I don’t believe anything of literary, or political value will be written. I’m just tired of the whole political realm. It’s so frustrating to see elected officials act as if they’ve been ordained by God, rather then elected by their constituents. The idea of service to country has been left somewhere in a smoky back room, while the idea of staying in office has moved into the main dining room of political fare.

Anything to get reelected. All’s fair in love and political war. Promise than anything, then once elected do whatever you want. You’ve got two, or six years do get away with murder, and if you’re lucky, most of the seniors who voted you in will be long gone before you lie to the people again. It’s disgusting.

Tomorrow, I hope to jump back on the political bandwagon. But, for tonight, I will say to you my dear readers, the same thing I say to my friends on Twitter, “May the good Lord bless you all, and God Bless America!

BTW – Look me up on Twitter – @dazedjourney

Good night.
